The main difference between the Pell Grant and the Supplemental Grant is that the SEOG is distributed by the colleges/universities based on a fixed amount they receive from the government.
This means that SEOG money is limited and will run out. Each college even has its own deadline for applications to make sure that the students in most need get benefits.
