President Trump has announced that the government is already sending out stimulus checks in April. The U.S. Secretary of the Treasury says the money will probably get to Americans in three to four weeks from when the CARES Act was signed on March 27.
You should expect to have your government assistance money by the middle of April.
Have you set up direct deposit for your tax returns? Good news. If the IRS has your bank account information from your 2019 or 2018 tax return, you’ll get your money deposited right into your account.
Didn’t set up direct deposit? No need to worry. You’ll be sent a paper check with your free government assistance just like during tax refund time.
Note: If you want quicker access to your stimulus cash, you can set up direct deposit with the IRS now.
